Photography God Himself

About me.

I was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (The ‘DR’ to the Bronx). I worked there as a graphic designer for 9 years, and learned that ‘DR’ actually stands for ‘damn resourceful.’ To do anything well in a culture not overly concerned with quality (my first cellphone was an old Goya can connected to a jungle vine), you have to be your own illustrator, photographer, retoucher, off-set printing technician and web designer. While it was a challenge, it gave me loads of experience in design and production in a fraction of the time it takes most designers to get there.

But you eventually outgrow a market like that, so I transitioned to US employment with a ‘telecommuting’ job at a boutique agency in NYC called Sugartown Creative. The creative director farmed out work to me for a year, and liked what I did so much he brought me over in 2007 as a full-time art director/designer. Sugartown was officially an ad agency, but the creative director was a designer first, so while I loved working with writers on ad campaigns in print and outdoor, I also poured my creative juices into logos and identity, web design, and product/ package design. With time I moved on to other great agencies all over New York City working on top brands with the most amazing people. I'm always looking for new adventures so now I reside in New Orleans.

I'm proficient in the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, UI/UX, social media, fluently bilingual, and I have a fully equipped home-office and I'm also available to work onsite.
